Coil Binding is the most popular and versatile type of binding used today.
Our Coil is made of a hard plastic material that can withstand tough handling and allow documents to lay flat or completely wrap around.

A common pattern is 4:1 pitch, meaning 4 holes per inch on the binding edge of the document. This binding can be used with both round and an oval hole pattern.

Sizes range from 6mm (1/4’’) up to 50mm (2’’) and are available in lengths of 12’’ or 36’’ and can easily be cut for odd sized jobs. Simply start inserting the coil into the first 4-5 holes by hand then let the electric coil inserter do the rest or continue by hand turning the coil into the book. Use an electric coil crimper or hand-held crimping pliers to cut off excess coil and crimp the ends.
