Standard 2:1 wire bindings were only available in sizes 5/8 through 1 1/4'' bindings. Now a few manufacturers have started manufacturing wire bindings in 1/4'' through 1 1/4'' bindings. This Allows you to bind from 1/4'' wire bindings up to 1 1/4'' using the 2:1 Wire Binding Machines. The 2:1 Wire Mac offers all the same features as the 3:1 Wire Mac except the hole pattern is different and it offers 27 disengageable dies.

The 2:1 Wire Mac wire binding machine binds from 1/4'' up to 1 1/4'' in thickness and up to 14'' in length.The punching margin control selector provides the correct punching depth needed to ensure that pages turn easily. The unit punches 21 square holes on a 11'' sheet of paper. The 2:1 Wire Mac features double handles for greater efficiency. One handle allows you to punch 17 sheets of 20 lb bond paper per punch. The other handle allows the adjustable vertical closer to close documents easily.The wire binding master closer selector allows you to adjust for various wire binding closings that ensure security.The Wire Mac offers 27 disengageable dies for punching various paper sheet sizes. The open throat design allows for punching documents wider that 14''. The wire snatch makes holding the wire in place easier for inserting paper sheets. The side margin control allows for evenly centered punches. The Wire Mac has metal construction making the unit durable and reliable.
